Really Really Fun!

Seventh grade has been pretty book heavy for Francesca, so I’ve been on the lookout for some fun and engaging learning programs. When I learned about Sound, and Fluid Dynamics from CrossWired Science I knew I found what I’d been looking for!

Crosswired Science is something that my kids cannot get enough of. And I cannot tell you how many times I had to tell them that they had to be done for the day.

Our family has two subjects that we enjoy more than anything else: history and science. We could fill our days with these two subjects and be perfectly content. Of the two, my boys definitely prefer science and I’m always on the hunt for more ways to add science or more ways to explore science topics within our classroom.

In my 15 years of homeschooling, I have NEVER seen an online science program quite like this one!

The videos and the information they make available are excellent and big hits with the kids.  I love what the company is trying to do and their focus on glorifying God and making science more intrinsic to all learning. The potential learning is just endless, which makes the price seem like a steal!  It is exciting to see all the things this company and program will bring to the educational community.

The biggest dilemma we encountered using CWS was a positive one. Using CrossWired Science, we get carried away and spend far more time studying science than our schedule typically allows. Inspired by the materials on the website, the girls want to keep on going.

To avoid spending an entire school day on this fascinating subject, I try to save science for the last subject of the day. After all, we need to cover English, math, and history as well!

It’s been amazing to see my girls’ love for science come alive as I’ve allowed them to think outside the textbook. After spending an entire month, we haven’t finished our first unit yet, but the twins are still learning new things.

Each unit is structured around a main topic which relates to a variety of scientific disciplines. At the same time, it allows freedom and gives direction to encourage students to explore other areas of interest through delight-directed learning.

my nine-year-old daughter is in her element and loving every minute of interacting with this program.  This the first science program she has been eager to return to on the next day and the next with its interactive features.

I have used a lot of different curriculum over the years and not one of them has totally surprised me like CWS did and made me stop and go “WOW” with the content and approach!

It’s an amazing way to tie in what your child has learned about with scripture. At the end, the student is asked to write how they relate to what they just read.  This was a perfect opportunity for Kaden and I to break out our Bibles, read and reflect together.  Honestly could this program be any better?

The lessons in CrossWired Science are packed full of information, book recommendations, videos, experiments, and more. You can use this curriculum as a full science curriculum for a three month period or you can use it as a fun addition to learning science throughout the year.
