A Science Smorgasboard!

Our family has two subjects that we enjoy more than anything else: history and science. We could fill our days with these two subjects and be perfectly content. Of the two, my boys definitely prefer science and I’m always on the hunt for more ways to add science or more ways to explore science topics within our classroom. For the last few weeks, we have been reviewing a new program called CrossWired Science and their first two projects: Sound, and Fluid Dynamics. Our family has laughingly nicknamed this science curriculum “smorgasbord” science.

If I had one word to describe this resource, I would say SMORGASBORD. LOL. There is soooooo much information and material that it’s like being faced with a giant buffet table…a smorgasbord…and working your way through it.

The program offers a wide variety of information and opportunities from which to choose from, much like a buffet line. For some folks this is great, because you can pick and choose what you want to learn and leave out what doesn’t interest you or work for you.

Science is one of my favorite subjects, so I always enjoy checking out different science programs. CrossWired Science seems like a great program, even if it can seem a little overwhelming at first glance. It’s like a smorgasbord of science information and activities!

It’s almost like a buffet of knowledge, take what you need and want. 🙂
